SpamExperts is a powerful email filtering service that helps protect your inbox from spam, viruses, and other email-based threats. However, there may be instances where you want to disable SpamExperts filtering. This guide will show you how to do this for a specific mailbox or for an entire domain.
Important: It is not permitted to bypass the SpamExperts MX records entirely, as doing so opens the server up to receive all email, irrespective of their SPAM status. We will restrict any inbound mail that doesn't comply with these rules.
Disabling SpamExperts must be done within SpamExperts directly for the domain, and is strongly discouraged for security reasons.
Disabling SpamExperts for a Specific Email Address
If you want to disable SpamExperts for a specific email address, follow these steps:
Access SpamExperts: Log into your cPanel account and navigate to the 'Email' section. From there, click on 'SpamExperts'.
Navigate to Mailbox Overview: Click the 'Mailbox Overview' icon in the General section.
Add Mailbox: Switch to the 'Mailboxes' tab and click the '+ Add mailbox' link.
Enter Mailbox Name: Enter the name of the mailbox for which you want to disable SpamExperts.
Disable Filtering: Drop down the 'Filtered (Incoming)' section and click 'No'.
Save Changes: Click 'Save' to finish. This mailbox will no longer be filtered.
Disabling SpamExperts for All Email Addresses
If you want to disable SpamExperts for all email addresses, you have two options:
Option 1 - Wildcard All Mailboxes
- Follow the steps above.
- In step 4, enter '*' for the Mailbox name. This will disable SpamExperts for all mailboxes.
Option 2 - Disable Filter Mailboxes by Default
- Click the 'Mailbox Overview' icon in the General section.
- Within the 'Configuration' tab, set 'Mailbox protection and processing mode' to 'Protect specific mailboxes only'. This will disable SpamExperts by default for all new mailboxes.
By following these steps, you can disable SpamExperts filtering for specific mailboxes or for all mailboxes, depending on your needs.
